Hi, y’all! Very glad to be here guest posting for Jes today. I recently made a little something for my kids’ bathroom. I wanted something different, cute – not just a mountable holder you’d buy at Target or Walmart. So I came up with this idea after asking my Twitter friends for some unique ideas. Took an idea and ran with it a little further. And I was able to get a little help from my 4 year old that loves to paint.
First, here’s your supply list:

Scrapbook Paper, chipboard letters (got mine at Hobby Lobby), craft paint & brushes, embellishments, Command hooks, & Command strips (I used the velcro mounts).
First thing you’re going to do is paint your chipboard letters. You’re not so much concerned with the front of the letters (though my 4 year old certainly was so we went with it) but the sides of the letters. Unless you are a huge overachiever, the scrapbook paper will not cover the sides. Probably will want to paint a couple of coats on the sides at least.

After the paint has dried, flip the letter over onto the backside of the scrapbook paper and trace it.

Then cut it out nice and slow. You’ll want it to fit perfectly on the top of your chipboard letter.

Then glue them down. I used the clear, liquid craft glue that you usually find in the scrapbook section.

Then choose some embellishments….

And depending on your embellishments, choose your glue and embellish your letters. I chose a hot glue gun.

Next, add your command strips to the back of the letters to adhere to your wall. Excuse the terribly picture quality. Not sure what happened here.

Then add your hook – wherever you are going to want your towel to hang.

Stick that baby to the wall and add your hand towels! VIOLA!

That’s it! Easy Peasy, one of a kind towel holders and very inexpensive. And cute, right?!
I enjoyed sharing this post with all of you. Hope you take some time to get crafty!
